Our First Summer Shadowing Program with Metro Pavia Clinic

Experience the inaugural “Future MD Shadowing Program” that took place at Metro Pavia Clinic Arecibo from July 4 to July 14. Tailored for ambitious high school seniors and college students aspiring to pursue medicine, this unique opportunity allowed 20 selected participants to immerse themselves in the real-world dynamics of healthcare.

Throughout the program, students observed various medical disciplines, including Emergency Room procedures, Ambulatory Surgery, and Specialized Medical Services. 

The “Future MD Shadowing Program” aimed to provide a transformative experience, allowing these aspiring young minds to make informed decisions about their journey into the medical field. This past event at Metro Pavia Clinic Arecibo set the stage for a successful and fulfilling path toward a career in medicine for 20 participants.

In total, we received over 300 applications. We encourage future participants to apply early. We ask for health certificate, essay of interest, copy of vaccines, curriculum vitae (CV) or resumé, good conduct certificate, and GPA transcription. The best candidates will go through a interview.
